Mountain High River Adventures is based in the city of Fernie, in the southeast corner of British Columbia. The Rocky Mountain rivers in our area range from gentle and relaxing float trips to challenging white water. We run trips on six river sections on three rivers - Elk River, Bull River, and Kootenay River.

Scenic Floats - Kick back and relax while your guide rows you down the beautiful Upper Elk River. There is no chance of falling overboard on this one unless you get knocked over by the breathtaking scenery. This is one outdoor activity that the whole family can enjoy together!

White Water Rafting - If you really want to have fun with a group of people, get in a raft with them and watch their reactions as you bounce and splash through a white water rapid. Rafting is a great way for a group of friends to work together, or for total strangers to come together and work like a team.

Sport-Yaks - AKA Inflatable Kayaking or Duckies. Sport-yaks are for the adventurous clients who want to paddle their own kayak on the river and don't mind going for a swim! No previous kayaking experience is necessary - instruction is a major element of all our trips. Minimum age for kayaking is 12 years.
