Tamar's cottages are located on the South Arm of Lake Temagami in the heart of Temagami Provincial Forest. Tamar Island (no.856) is surrounded by thousands of miles of wilderness shoreline. Our cottages are very spacious and clean with an open concept living room/kitchen and private bedrooms. All cottages have a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, wood stove for heat, a propane BBQ outdoors, and bed linens. There is a central shower available for your use. There are many activities to do, on and around the island. Bocce and horseshoes are available to play, or rent a canoe and go for a paddle around the island. Go swimming from the front dock, or snorkel around through the crystal clear waters. Water taxi service and boat and motor rentals are available to our guests at daily and weekly rates or on a per use basis. Tamar also has gas and oil for your convenience. Also available are fishing boat and canoe rentals. We operate on Lake Temagami, known world wide for it's trophy fish. The children can enjoy a day at one of our great beaches, when they prefer to be in the water, or hike one of our trails through the old growth forest.
